During a training session with a service dog, an elderly woman approached the front counter and requested that the dog be given a treat. I informed her that the dog was currently being trained and that I would not be able to provide a treat. However, she then continued to pet the dog and then I pulled away, allowing her to read the dog’s vest. The women then approached the Dog again and asked if it was okay to pet her, stating that it was a puppy. I firmly responded that it was not okay, as the dog was an in-training pup who was being trained early to become a service dog. This incident highlights the importance of having patches on learning working dogs and service dogs. Such behavior is unprofessional . The stores still have a good assortment of products after the remodeling. But the “tractor supplies” are online. I will still get many items there.

I purchased a DeWalt air compressor for approximately $2,800 from Tractor Supply and had it professionally installed in my workshop. Upon installation, the electrician discovered a defective contactor, rendering the unit completely unusable. I immediately contacted the store and spoke with the manager, Erin. I was told my only option was to uninstall the compressor and return it to the store for an exchange. This was completely impractical, the unit weighs over 500 lbs, is bolted to the concrete floor, plumed and wired and the store didn’t even have a replacement in stock. The store’s alternative was for me to handle the issue directly with DeWalt. After several calls with DeWalt customer service, I was informed this is a known issue with the contactor and that repairs would take a minimum of two weeks. In the meantime, I’m stuck with a non-functional ~$3,000 piece of equipment and additional out-of-pocket expenses for multiple electrician visits. My request for any form of compensation, goodwill, or practical assistance from Tractor Supply was denied. I am a fan of Tractor Supply Company. We just moved here from Colorado. In Colorado for my Tractor, trailer, and lawn tractor Tractor Supply was always my first choice. During this last big winter storm, Tractor supply was my first choice for just picking up a gasoline can. I appreciate their convenient location on Route 4 and I always appreciate their friendly helpful service. I higly recommend Tractor Supply Company for your next need.
